Conservation and Sustainability in the Cloud Forest
The core focus of this initiative is the active conservation of fragile cloud forest ecosystems through essential tasks such as habitat restoration, native plant planting, invasive species removal, and biodiversity monitoring (birds and amphibians).
Volunteers will also support trail maintenance, assist animal rescue centers, and participate in environmental education initiatives.
The primary goal is to mitigate human impact and raise awareness regarding the importance of these unique environments. Volunteers collaborate directly with technicians and local communities on tasks, including cleaning, nest building, tree planting, and local wildlife care. Work is often conducted in small groups to maximize impact.
In partnership with the reserve, we conduct boundary checks and conservation activities, with a special emphasis on endangered and endemic species. We also implement agroecological practices to promote sustainability and balance agriculture with the environment, working toward the comprehensive preservation of this unique ecosystem.
