Gender and Domestic Violence Program
Program Overview Ecuador is actively working to address and combat domestic and gender-based violence.
The intentional use of physical force and constant threats against individuals or communities often results in trauma, psychological damage, developmental problems, or death.
This project has been active since 1990, with the main objective of assisting women and their children affected by domestic and gender-based violence. We offer a temporary shelter service alongside comprehensive medical and psychological care.
Volunteer activities are tailored to individual studies, experience, and interests. These may include:
• Working with children in workshops focused on domestic violence, self-esteem, family relationships, and sexuality.
• Administrative tasks assisting the social worker or fundraising activities.
• Supporting recreational activities for children.
